Greater Toronto Home Builders' Association

CCS agrees with the BILD (Building Industry and Land Development Association) former "Greater Toronto Home Builder Association’s" credo that Canadian homes should be well designed, well constructed, and well located in attractive communities.

CCS is also bound by the association’s Code of Ethics.


Greater Toronto Home Builders’ Association’s Code of Ethics

Members of the BILD shall...

  1. Deal honestly and fairly with their customers.

  2. Deal justly with their employees, sub-contractors and suppliers.

  3. Comply with the Ontario Building Code as a minimum standard for construction, and shall work toward its improvement in the interests of structural sufficiency, safety and health.

  4. Plan sites and homes to conform to the principles of good community planning.

  5. Co-operate to extend the effectiveness of the Association by interchanging information and experience, and encourage research on materials and techniques in order to provide better homes at lower cost.

  6. Uphold the principle of appropriate and adequate compensation for the service which they render.

  7. Avoid all conduct or practice detrimental to the housebuilding industry, to the Association, to the good name or reputation of any of its members, or to customers.
